Who we are
KidsHome is provided by Trade2Teach Ltd, trading as KidsHome, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17438407). Trade2Teach Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here, which means we decide how and why it is used. Contact: hello@kidshome.app.
What we collect and why
- Account details (name, email, login credentials) — to create and secure your account. Basis: contract.
- Children's details (first name, age, optional support needs notes you choose to add) — to organise records and reports. We never ask for dates of birth. Basis: contract; support needs notes are only stored because you choose to add them (explicit consent), and you can delete them at any time.
- Learning records, photos and videos — to provide the service. Stored privately; only you can see them. Basis: contract.
- Support messages — to help you. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser details, logs) — for security and fraud prevention. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Analytics (pages visited, anonymous identifiers) — to improve KidsHome, only if you accept analytics cookies. Basis: consent.
Payment details are collected directly by Paddle, not by us.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host and run KidsHome for us: our cloud hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, our AI provider (used only to draft reports you ask for; your records are not used to train models), and Google Analytics (only with your consent).
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, managing subscriptions, taking payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We never sell your data and never share your children's records with a Local Authority or anyone else.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you close it we delete your records, photos and videos within 30 days. We keep billing records as long as the law requires (usually 6 years). Anything no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, private storage, strict access controls so each account can only reach its own data, and regular reviews.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and optional analytics cookies only if you agree. See our Cookie policy.
